Revium (2025)

About

Revium is a 2025 version of Rec Room where players can play and use the latest features Rec Room had before it shut down its servers for good.

Revium is a copy of Rec Room from its 2025 version, which had features like full body, Roomie (which may be added later, as we can't afford Roomie AI right now) and the latest RROs such as Make it to Midnight and more.

Download & Install

PC launches first, followed by Meta Quest, iOS and Android, which are coming later.

PC only These steps are for installing Revium on a PC. They do not apply to Android, Quest or other devices.

Before you start

Make sure you have all of these:

  • A PC
  • Steam installed, with Rec Room in your library
  • Google Chrome (recommended, because the launcher may not download in Microsoft Edge)
Important: you need the Injector to run Revium

The Injector connects the game to our servers. Without Injector.exe, Revium will not run.

Antivirus programs flag it because the only way to run Rec Room 2025 right now is to push the metadata that routes the game to our servers into the game itself. It is free from viruses and has been tested both internally and externally.

Download Injector.exe

Part 1: Download

  1. Download the launcher. Go to the Revium download page and click Play on PC.
  2. Download the game. Open the launcher and use it to download the build.

Part 2: Set up the Injector

  1. Turn off your antivirus. The game won't work with it on. Your PC thinks our files are viruses because we don't have the certificates Microsoft asks for. They are not viruses.
  2. Download the Injector. Get Injector.exe.
  3. Move it into the game folder. Put Injector.exe in this folder: C:/Users/[Your User]/Revium/Revium2025

The Injector is how Revium connects to our server. Radium, another popular Rec Room revival, works the same way.

Part 3: Play

  1. Open Steam and leave it running.
  2. Open the file for how you want to play:
    • RecRoomScreen.bat for screen mode
    • RecRoomVR.bat for VR
  3. Start the game from the launcher.

Don't have Rec Room in your Steam library?

Do this before step 6:

  1. Open the Revival folder.
  2. Change the app ID. Open steam_appid.txt and change the number to 250820.
  3. Start the game. You need SteamVR in your library for this.

On our official website! Head over to the Play tab and you should see Revium. It is also visible on the home screen as a purple button in the bottom right corner.

RecQuiem

About

RecQuiem is an online multiplayer game inspired by Rec Room. It's considered a remake of the original Rec Room, built with unique features and new content.

RecQuiem is still in active development, so we do not have an approximate release date. However, we will try to release a playable build somewhere in 2027, but the stable release may take longer, at most end of 2027.

Gameplay

Yes, but it will be a different system, as the game is completely new and built from scratch.

Unlikely. The game will mostly feature the classic bean body, but maybe it can make a return in the future.

Accounts & Purchases

Of course! The game will be free to play, although you can buy in-game purchases, just like Rec Room, to help support our servers and development!

At the moment we have no plans to create an importation feature, and it may be difficult to implement due to Rec Room shutting down. But it's not entirely out of the question.
